God, The Ultimate Artist

God, The Ultimate Artist

Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures,
and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.”
(Genesis 1:20 NKJV)

When I look at nature and the incredible creatures inhabiting our world, I stand awed and amazed by the work of His hands. He did not have to put so much effort into making each creature unique and spectacular, but He did. He designed and painted the world for His pleasure and for ours. He is the Ultimate Artist.

  • He gave the platypus a Donald Duck smile and the duck a waddle in its walk.

  • He gave the cheetah its spots and speed and the lion its magnificent mane and roar.

  • He gave the hyena its laugh and the nightingale its melody.

  • He gave the cockatoo its crest and the peacock its breathtaking tail.

  • He gave the whales their song and the eagles their flight.

  • He gave the zebra its stripes and painted the goldfinch yellow.

  • He gave the pelican its pouch and the marlin its spike.

Creation is God’s first missionary. How can you possibly look at the multitude and variations of animals on earth, or at the heavens and the stars, and not accept there is a God? He reveals Himself to mankind through His creation. His handiwork is clear for all to see. And His creation is breath taking and spectacular, expressing the magnificence of the Creator Himself.

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature. So, they have no excuse for not knowing God (Romans 1:20 NLT).
